Nevada's Rock Art

If you love Nevada, history and the spirit of the past, you will love rock art! Nevada is blessed with some of the finest rock art in the world. The Nevada Rock Art Foundation is a very unique organization that has set out to preserve, conserve and protect all of the petroglyphs and pictographs at risk in the State. A challenging task that requires hours and hours of work, one panel of etched artwork documented at a time. An exciting undertaking is the development of a cultural park at the Court of Antiquity located just north of Sparks on I-80. Largomarsino is another site that has been under recordation and conservation for over five years. The Las Vegas area is filled with rich rock art too. Bringing this very special rock art story to the public is a mission that is very dear to my heart. This is a story that is etched in stone- yet, we can only imagine what it means.
