Rain and Hail do not damper Lake Tahoe Music Festival Patrons' spirits. Over 1500 anxious guests awaited the moment of Michael McDonald to perform in the beautiful mid mountain area of Northstar at Tahoe. He is performing his second song when the clouds opened and hail and rain poured approximately forty minutes. It was quite a sight with everyone running for cover. We made it under the tarp at the Beer Garden and watched and waited to see if it would pass over. It was amazing what good spirits everyone displayed as it was an act of nature. When it was clear that the evening was over, the music festival volunteers and the Northstar workers did a beautiful job in moving everyone down the mountain. They even had to stop loading the gondola because of lightening threats and nicely orchestrated everyone down the path to shuttle buses and down.
It was very emotional to see everyone having a great time in adverese conditions. A toast to Northstar and the Lake Tahoe Music Festival.
