Squaw Valley/USA buys The Village!

Rumors have been rumbling for months, and last information sounded like all bets off. However, it was announced on Friday that Squaw Valley/USA has purchased The Village from Intrawest. This includes the commercial/retail promenade along with the lodging business for the condominium units above. The acquisition should enhance guest experience at the resort, which is enjoying booming ski days with around 18,000 season passes sold for 2009-2010.
