Bio
Hi, I’m Pam Lusby. I’ve enjoyed being a full time resident of Lake Tahoe for over 29 years. I've been fortunate enough to have raised both of my children in this beautiful place, and my husband and I continually give back to a community that has given us so much with our time and energy. Running and hiking with my dog throughout this area is something of which I'll never grow tired. My enthusiasm for this area and my continual support and involvement with this community has given me the extensive knowledge needed to know and sell at Lake Tahoe. Since I'm licensed in both California and Nevada, I have the ability to fully service all of my clients' needs. Let me share the personal and professional commitment that I have with both my buyers and sellers with you. Call me today! I try to always stay "A Step Ahead" of my competition.

Planning On Getting A Permitted Buoy On Lake Tahoe?

Posted on May 21, 2009 at 6:26pm 0 Comments

TRPA ordinances have been adopted and took effect December 22, 2008, that will affect all lakefront (littoral) property or buoy owners. Annual fees for buoy permits will be taking effect.

PHASE 1: This first phase will be to recognize, permit or remove all existing buoys. TRPA application filing fees for an individual mooring is $500. Parcels eligible for more than one mooring will pay $500 for the first mooring and $1,000 for each additional mooring. There is also an… Continue

V-DAY 2009

Posted on March 6, 2009 at 12:59pm 0 Comments

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month. Since I’m on the Board for the South Lake Tahoe Women’s Center, I wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of events that will be taking place in our community.

V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls. The local events that will be held in South Lake Tahoe will benefit organizations including South Lake Tahoe Women’s Center, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), and Tahoe Youth and… Continue

Something unique - home sellers making offers!

Posted on February 17, 2009 at 2:46pm 1 Comment

The following article ran in the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday February 8, 2009. The article was written by Lew Sichelman and was titled "Home sellers can make offers, too"

Even though this is not a new concept, it was used in the 1980s, it's a new concept to me. I found it very interesting and in a market like this, it just may work in certain situations. It's definitely "thinking outside of the box"!

You've had your house on the market for several months with no… Continue

There are "best buys" out there!

Posted on November 4, 2008 at 10:30am 2 Comments

As I was looking at the stats today to share with some of my clients, I realized that if we'd all just quit listening to the media (difficult, at best), and look at what's really happening, we could see the silver lining.

Here in the Stateline to Glenbrook corridor of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, we've sold only 4 less homes this year compared to the same period last year. Now I ask you...does that sound like a market in the toilet? Absolutely not! In fact, we've realized 50% more… Continue

Property Taxes Still Advantageous in Douglas County

Posted on September 28, 2008 at 11:23am 1 Comment

Any of us that have lived and worked in Douglas County, Nevada for any length of time are probably in the habit of always spouting off "We're assessed every 3 to 5 years" in response to a question regarding property taxes. Well, we need to all move along into 2008, and not use that response any longer.

Every parcel in Douglas County is re-assessed every year. If the home is a primary residence, the property taxes can (and probably will be) increased by a maximum… Continue

Hi Pam,

No... the names are not familiar. In what part of town do the Harveys live? I live in Pelican Bay, which is a community near the Gulf of Mexico. We live in a high-rise on the 15th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

When I read your activities such as cross-country skiing it reminds me very much of my years in Michigan, where my husband and I were born. When the snow fell, we couldn't wait to slip into our skis and take off. How different it is in Florida.

I have to admit that snow and skiing does not have appeal to us any more. I prefer golf, walking and enjoying the beachside restaurants.

Hi pam, Can you recommend a good lender in the Stateline area. Fulton is getting serious about looking for a small home or condo. I have recommended he get pre-approved for aloan and determine how much house he can afford before starting to look at property.Do you think that prices have dropped enough he could find something in Lower kingsbury, zephyr cove area for under $250,000?
