After reading this article, it makes you wonder how anyone can destroy a community the way all involved here have. Bank of America has just deflated values in an area of Reno that will take a long time to recover from.

Mortgage Rate Plan has Precendent

A plan to stabilize home prices by luring nervous buyers into the housing market with federally subsidized mortgages may seem radical, but it is not unprecedented. This could be the first of positives out of our Government bailout. A 4.5% interest rate for home purchases and not refi's could help spur the re-sell market. Please read through this article.

McQueen High School Football Proves it's The Best of Nevada

If you were amoung the huge croud at the University of Nevada's Mackay Stadium, you witnessed a tremendous State High School Football Game that had to leave you with tears. These were tears of joy, as the McQueen Lancers defeated the Palo Verde team from Las Vegas 13-12 on the last offensive drive of these Seniors careers.

Bailout approved by House of Representatives

The U.S. House of Representatives approved the Senate version of the Bailout plan to stave off what Warren Buffett has described as an "Economic Pearl Harbor." The final vote was 263-171, a much larger margin than the failed attempt earlier this week. President Bush is expected to sign the legislation later today. The Center for Regional Studies in Nevada just released positive numbers for our Washoe County real estate markets. These numbers come from a real strong May, flat June and a semi-strong July.
Have we hit the bottom? Sounds like we could be beginning our rebound.
