Calm Blue Waters & Golden Sunshine: Fall Kayaking at Lake Tahoe

Where else can a weekend adventurer push off into calm blue waters and golden skies in November... then shush through frosty fresh powder on the slopes in February? Lake Tahoe, of course! Fall means great kayak water touring to the Thunderbird lodge on the East Shore. Winding through giant granite boulders, both rising out of the water and laying quietly just under the still surface of the lake... picture perfect. Alas, a blanket of fresh snow beckons. Off to the slopes... for more "Tahoe fun!"
