Voice of Reno-Tahoe Real Estate

There's a sinister move afoot insofar as IVGID Recreation Passes are concerned. An Ordinance No. 7 sub-committee is about to recommend to the IVGID Board of Trustees a limitation on the number of "full privileged" recreation passes issued per parcel. Currently the number is five. As proposed, the number will drop to two [unless your family consists of minor dependent children living with you]. So if a property is owned by a single person; or multiple families; or you've rented it out part of the year; or you've transferred some of your recreation passes to non-significant others; some are going to lose full recreation privileges. Are you up for changes like these given every parcel owner pays the same yearly recreation assessment? If not, you'd better educate yourself in very short order, and let the IVGID Board know [in writing] you disapprove!

Sounds like a losing propostion for people on rental programs necessary to supplement the cost of their second home and shared ownership situations as you mentioned. What's the motivation? Will this somehow save them money?
No...it all goes back to too many folks wanting to golf in the am on the IV Championship golf course. This is a really thorny issue which i agree needs to be watched. What started out as a simple review for this committee, turned into an expose.
